F.A.Q
01
Do you accept walk-ins?
YES! Walk-ins are on a first come first serve basis. Please call ahead to be sure we have availability.
02
What is the best way to make an appointment?
Our shop can be contacted by phone or email to set up appointments. Everyone at Thistle and Pearl does their own booking, you can put in a request with your preferred artist via our website, or check out their instagram on how to contact them directly.
03
What is your cancellation policy?
We require 72 hours notice to reschedule your appointment. Without adequate notice your deposit may be forfeited. This policy protects our artists time spent drawing your design and ensures that they have the opportunity to adjust their schedule. Deposits for cancelations are generally not refundable. We understand that unexpected and unavoidable things happen in life and we often reschedule without consequence, but please respect your artist and try to give 72 hours notice.
04
Do you accept credit/debit cards?

No, we only take cash now and we do have an ATM in the studio.
05
Can I get tattooed if I'm under 18?

In North Carolina you MUST BE 18 years or older with a valid photo ID to get tattooed. Examples of valid ID are a State issued ID card, a Driver's License, a Passport, or a Military ID. All must be unexpired and current. Unacceptable forms of ID are anything photocopied, anything online, a student ID, verbal confirmation from your best friend, etc.
Please come prepared! We would hate to have to reschedule your appointment because you do not have your ID.
06
What should I do before I get tattooed?
Sleep! Hydrate! Eat!
Everyone reacts differently to being tattooed and different parts of the body are more sensitive than others. Make sure you get a good nights sleep so your body can tolerate the process for as long as it needs. Keep yourself hydrated and eat something, especially protein.
